What is the Pre-op Hop?
Pre-op Hop is a free, fun, interactive tour and class for parents and their children ages 2 to 12 who are having surgery at any of Intermountain Healthcare's three Utah County hospitals - American Fork Hospital, Orem Community Hospital and Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
Children and parents will enjoy
- A healthcare play activity to introduce children to sights and sounds they may experience.
- A guided tour of areas in the hospital that children will see on the day of their surgery.
- An opportunity to ask questions and talk about specific concerns about surgery.
