My passion is taking care of cancer patients. I strongly believe in tailoring cancer treatment to the individual patient, as each patient is unique. I get a tremendous amount of satisfaction in using my technical skills to remove a cancer and then helping patients through the recovery process. I have conducted research on pancreatic cancer, melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and colorectal cancer. I am actively involved in educating medical students and resident physicians. I enjoy teaching both young doctors and my patients about cancer. Outside of the hospital I like being outdoors hiking, biking, and bird watching. I practice yoga and I am always looking for a good book to read.
