Five healthcare organizations are participating in the CCC
Intermountain Healthcare is one of five participating health systems in the U.S. involved with the Care Connectivity Consortium (CCC). The mission of the CCC is to use a health information exchange to support patient-centered, high-value healthcare across the country. Also participating in the CCC are Geisinger Health System, GroupHealth, Kaiser Permanente, and Mayo Clinic.
The CCC believes that data sharing, regardless of geographic and organizational boundaries, ensures better-informed decisions, stronger patient-physician relationships, lower costs, and improved patient care and outcomes.
Homer Warner Center for Informatics Research team members are participating in the CCC’s Information Technology Workgroup. The IT Workgroup is developing solutions for implementing confidential data sharing across the CCC member organizations.
