Crisis Services are available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at

Grief and Loss

The serious illness of an employee or the death of a coworker are challenging situations.  The EAP can provide coaching to supervisors on how to support teams and individuals and can provide valuable, timely written materials including the Intermountain Bereavement Packet and Grief & Loss:  A Supervisor Guide.  The EAP can also facilitate team meetings if requested.

Critical Incidents

When an unexpected trauma occurs in the workplace, counselors provide a service called Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Critical incidents are defined as situations that have caused severe stress to employees and may have disrupted work productivity or may affect future productivity if not addressed. Examples of critical incidents include workplace accidents or severe life-threatening events. If an incident occurs, call the EAP and a counselor will provide support and coordinate interventions.
