What to expect
Your time in the Intermountain Hearing and Balance Center will vary based on your symptoms or physician's orders. However, most comprehensive balance assessments last about two hours. We encourage you to have someone accompany you to and from the appointment.
You will also be requested not to take certain medications 48 hours prior to your appointment; consult your physician before discontinuing any prescribed medication.
Contact lenses and eye make-up are discouraged during parts of the testing. For balance rehabilitation appointments, please wear comfortable shoes and clothes as walking and strength capacity are assessed.

Scheduling
To schedule an appointment please call (801) 595-1700. Our services generally require a physician’s referral, order, or request. We encourage you to go through your doctor to obtain a referral or request prior to scheduling an appointment. Physicians’ offices are able to call, fax (539-8900), or send electronic correspondence (HELP2) to schedule an appointment.
