A growing and prominent community need which Intermountain Homecare provides is charity and unreimbursed care for children facing life-limiting medical conditions.
In 2008 Intermountain Homecare cared for 1,000 pediatric patients. Of these children, 263 (26%) received charity and unreimbursed care totaling $1 million with 25 of the children representing 89% of those dollars.
As part of our charitable mission, Intermountain Homecare continues to provide needed services to this group of children and their families, through the work of the Foundation for Homecare & Hospice.
This very noble mission requires the talents and resources of employees, community members, and generous donors, as members of the Foundation for Homecare & Hospice. The Foundation for Homecare & Hospice is a distinct 501(c)(3) supporting organization. The mutually rewarding philanthropic partnerships with individuals, businesses, corporations and organizations in our communities will create a long term sustaining source of dedicated funds that will directly support the charitable mission of Intermountain Homecare.
