The Client Services department for the Central laboratory is a call center with 26 employees, open 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. An information resource to physicians, nursing staff and patients, the department is available for testing and specimen requirements questions, and also available for troubleshooting. Client Services is responsible for calling critical values to physicians; these results need to be called within 30 minutes of resulting the test and the Client Services staff prides itself in meeting this deadline consistently. Client Services also handles ordering of supplies for clients, working closely with Marketing to make sure that clients get the best service.
