Services & Symptoms

InstaCare is an excellent option for treatment when you need medical attention within 24 hours and the situation is not life-threatening. We offer expanded hours, including weekends and holidays. Our skilled, licensed providers have access to state-of-the-art X-ray equipment and lab services to diagnose your condition. For specialized care, InstaCare physicians will refer you to a primary care provider.

Go to the Emergency Room immediately if you have symptoms of heart attack or stroke, or if you feel that your health is in immediate danger. If you are unsure of whether you are having a life-threatening medical emergency, go to the ER.

Visit the InstaCare for:

  • broken bones
  • cold and flu
  • cuts and abrasions
  • earache
  • headaches and migraines
  • infections
  • nausea
  • nose bleeds
  • sore throat
  • sprains or strains
  • stomach aches

InstaCares are Fast

It may surprise you to learn that the Emergency Room is not always the fastest option for receiving medical treatment for urgent care conditions. InstaCare clinics can often provide the same services you find at the Emergency Room in only half the time. No appointment is needed.

InstaCares are Cost-effective

InstaCare clinics are less expensive than the Emergency Room for non-life threatening situations - whether or not you have health insurance.

Where do you go to get an x-ray and treatment?

The InstaCare is a good option for both of these examples and for most situations when a bone may be broken and you cannot wait for a doctor’s office appointment. InstaCares are equipped with staff who are skilled to handle simple fractures. InstaCares have x-ray capability. The cost of care is significantly less than an emergency room visit.

Many people who have insurance coverage mistakenly assume it is okay to use the Emergency Room because they have a co-payment that seems affordable - and that may be the case. However, most insurance plans also require that you meet a deductible or pay co-insurance. That out-of-pocket expense can be hundreds of dollars for an injury treated at the Emergency Room. Understanding the cost difference is important as you decide where to seek treatment.

NOTE: Should an accident cause a bone to protrude through the skin, the emergency room is the best option for treatment.

The table below shows the average cost and wait time in our area for having a suspected broken arm examined and treated:

At the Emergency Room    At an InstaCare Clinic
Total Charges   $900 or higher    About $400
Wait Time to see Provider  Often 1 hour or longer    0 – 1 hour
