Certified Nurse Midwives
Our Certified Nurse Midwives specialize in women's healthcare. Though many of our patients see us for pregnancy and childbirth care, our midwives also provide annual preventive screening exams, including Pap tests, breast exams, and family planning consultations. Gynecologic care for vaginal infections, bladder infections, menstrual irregularities, and infertility evaluations is also available. Our midwives also specialize in premarital exams and counseling as well as menopausal hormone therapy and counseling.
The philosophy of nurse midwifery care includes a belief that every woman has unique physical, emotional, and educational needs that can best be met through a personalized approach.
Pregnancy and Childbirth Care
Our focus is on wellness and patient choice. We support women in their childbirth decisions, whether they prefer un-medicated birth or epidural anesthesia. Support is provided at birth to initiate breastfeeding and skin-to-skin care to enhance the comfort of the mother and bonding with baby and family.
As part of our commitment to the care for new moms and their babies, our Nurse Midwifery department provides these benefits:

- A variety of childbirth education classes, breastfeeding assistance, and mother support groups
- 24 hour in-house anesthesia
- 24 hour in-house OB/GYN doctor available for emergencies
- 24 hour consultation with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists
- Perinatal Genetics Counselor
- Special Care Nursery with private family spaces

Obstetrics & Gynecology Doctors
Our OB/GYN doctors, formerly at Langeland OB/GYN, specialize in women's healthcare. We care for pregnancy, childbirth, infertility, and evaluation and treatment for other women's healthcare needs including menstrual period problems, menopause, urinary incontinence, and surgery.
