Budge Clinic ENT provides care for children of all ages including newborns. Problems with tonsils and adenoid as well as recurrent ear infections and tubes are frequent topics of interest discussed with parents. Other common problems include snoring, enlarged lymph nodes, and congenital abnormalities.
We also provide allergy evaluations for children. This includes testing for both food and seasonal allergies (hay fever). Skin testing and blood tests are available to help diagnosis potential allergies. Management of allergies including avoidance, medications, and allergy shots or oral drops is discussed with parents.
We offer comprehensive evaluations of hearing loss in children and newborns using a variety of hearing tests geared specifically to children, as well as radiologic studies if necessary. If the child requires hearing aids, we work with each child and the family by providing them with appropriate models and continued monitoring until adulthood. We coordinate our care with other providers, including Utah State University Department of Audiology.
Pediatric patients often need a team approach. We work closely with your pediatrician, family physician, and other consultants to ensure your child receives the best care possible and parents are well informed of all issues facing them and their child.
Allergy and Sinus Disorders
Allergy testing and treatment are available at Budge Clinic ENT. We offer skin testing and blood analysis for both food and inhalant (hay fever) allergies. Treatment options of avoidance, medications, and immunotherapy (allergy shots or sublingual drops) are discussed and tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
Sinus problems can be daily frustrations for many patients. We provide patients with a thorough nasal and sinus evaluation. Use of nasal endoscopy, allergy testing, and CT imaging can be in the diagnostic evaluation of patient’s complaints. Surgical options with intraoperative computerized image guidance are available for patients who fail more conservative treatment.
Snoring and Sleep Apnea
Both snoring and sleep apnea can be very disrupting to patients and spouses. Furthermore sleep apnea can cause more serious health problems. If we determine this is the issue, we will work closely with the Sleep Laboratory at Logan Regional Hospital to provide a targeted comprehensive exam. Treatments including surgery and CPAP are available.
Audiology Clinic (Hearing and Balance)
Audiologist Dr. Andrew Cobabe conducts comprehensive testing for hearing and balance problems. Special pediatric tests are utilized for newborns and young children. Hearing aids are available for patients with significant hearing loss. Dr. Cobabe works with patients to ensure that the correct hearing aid is used to meet each patient’s individual needs. Evaluations for implantable hearing devices and cochlear implants are available for patients with more severe hearing needs.
Patients with sudden or chronic balance problems can seek further diagnostic evaluations with referrals from their physician or provider. Common illnesses such as Meniere’s disease, benign positional vertigo, acute vertigo, and disequilibrium are addressed. Various treatment and rehabilitations options are available.
Dr. Keyser has completed additional subspecialty training in Otology/Neurotology. As the only fellowship trained surgeon in Cache Valley, he is prepared to medically and surgically manage more complicated ear diseases. Specific areas of interest include evaluation and treatment of hearing loss, especially in newborn children. Areas of surgical care include implantable hearing devices, cochlear implants, reconstructive hearing surgery, mastoid surgery, stapedectomy, and repair of tympanic membrane perforations.
Budge Clinic ENT offers comprehensive treatment of balance disorders. Balance and various other audiological tests are available for in depth evaluations. Balance therapy and rehabilitation is provided in the clinic and through physical therapy.
The Cochlear Implant Program offers patients with profound hearing loss or deafness opportunities of hearing rehabilitation through cochlear implantation. This program is conducted in conjunction with the Audiology Department at Utah State University. Patients are provided with a comprehensive evaluation and options for all major brands of cochlear implants. Patients undergo surgery as outpatients at Logan Regional Hospital.

We work as a team with the Intermountain Cancer Center at Logan Regional Hospital utilizing the expertise of oncologists in chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Because of our intergraded team approach, patients can receive the highest national standards of care, whether it is surgery, chemotherapy, and/or radiation therapy while remaining close to home. We work with cancer survivors providing long-term follow up and family support.
