Focus
As a member of the Intermountain Health & Fitness Institute at LDS Hospital, I have particular interest in guidelines related to clinical preventive services and the role they play in preventing disease. I am also interested in lifestyle-related behaviors that are associated with chronic illness such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Other areas of focus include:

I am the program and research director at the Intermountain Health & Fitness Institute at LDS Hospital, Intermountain Healthcare. I am also a principal research investigator at the Division of Cardiovascular Genetics, University of Utah School of Medicine. Personal Bio & Interests
I enjoy spending time with my family in the summer in the great outdoors. I enjoy participating in community-related and service-oriented activities. My favorite food is a peanut butter and honey sandwich on whole wheat bread (using Adams peanut butter). When I am not helping patients at the Health & Fitness Institute or lecturing at the University of Utah, I enjoy hiking.

Julie P. Bolick, MS, RD, CD, CLS, FNLA

Primary Specialty: Non-Pharmacologic Approaches to Lipid Management, Health and Wellness Counseling and Weight Management 

Focus
Health and wellness counseling, lipid and weight management. I am an expert in food and nutrition, as well as lipid and weight management. Provide personalized and group, nutrition evaluations, counseling and education. Comprehensive medical nutrition therapy for healthy eating and wellness, high LDL-cholesterol (bad) or triglycerides, low HDL-cholesterol (good), metabolic syndrome, diabetes (pre diabetes, Type I or II), high blood pressure, weight management (loss, gain, maintain), and specialized nutrition therapy for gastrointestinal disorders, celiac disease and many more.

Originally from Salt Lake City, I have resided in Southern Utah for the last 17 years and have been counseling patients about chronic disease and management of health through exercise, nutrition modification, and stress management. I recently have had the opportunity to move back to Salt Lake City to pursue my passion in the promotion of health and wellness. I have two beautiful, intelligent children who keep me busy in my off hours during which I enjoy hiking and cooking. Last year, we hiked the Rim2Rim and this year’s goal is the Rim to Rim to Rim, a 48 mile hike across the Grand Canyon.

Jodi Rhodehouse, MEd

Focus
As an exercise physiologist, I am mainly concerned with educating individuals on positive health behaviors such as strength training, cardiovascular training, and properly fueling the body. Under the direction of a physician, I administer different fitness evaluations including the stress EKG test, Biodex strength testing, body fat analyses (including the BodPod as well as skin caliper testing), resting metabolic rate testing, and flexibility measures. I consult with clients about their results including lab reports and current activity levels. Armed with information, I help individuals target weak areas in their health regime and work towards a more healthy future.

Having spent eight years as a scholarship high school and college athlete, I know the value of health, fitness and the importance of a strong body. As a result, my fifteen years as a professional in the sports performance industry has centered on strength training with a focus on core strength and balance, and injury rehabilitation and prevention. My clients have included college athletes, Paralympic and Olympic athletes, and numerous outdoor and sports enthusiasts. Bio & Interests
I was born in Stockholm, Sweden and came to Salt Lake City in 1990. According to my husband, I came, "only for a year." Now, 3 children and 20 years later, I have fallen in love with Utah winters and the beautiful desert landscape. Winter is my favorite season here and I usually take a trip back to Sweden in the summer time. When I am not busy helping patients, I enjoy cross country skiing with my family.
