Well Child Visits
Well child visits are an important time to assess your child’s growth and development, discuss parental concerns, and keep patients up to date on immunizations. Your child’s doctor will recommend a schedule for well-child visits.
One example from the American Academy of Pediatrics is for visits at ages:
- 3 to 5 days old
- By 1 month
- 2 months
- 4 months
- 6 months
- 9 months
- 1 year
- 15 months
- 18 months
- 2 years
- 30 months
- 3 years
After age 3, well-child visits are usually scheduled yearly through the teen years.
Please call our office to schedule your child’s well child check with your child’s doctor, 801-464-7600.
Each day we have appointments available to examine sick or injured children. If your child’s doctor is unavailable we can offer you an appointment with another doctor at our clinic.
Our nursing staff is skilled in answering most medical questions. They handle urgent calls immediately and return other calls as soon as possible. While our nurses are a great resources for sound advice, we always encourage you make an appointment if you are concerned.
Night, Weekend and Hospital Coverage
To provide 24 hour coverage our doctors take turns being “on call” for after hour emergencies. Similarly, we rotate pediatric coverage seeing newborns in the nurseries at LDS Hospital and Intermountain Medical Center.
