Pediatric Hand Surgery

The hand is a complex instrument, and each injury or hand issue must be evaluated with a thorough exam and specialized testing. Early intervention by a specialist such as Dr. Hancey will decrease the chance of long term hand disablilties such as stiffness, loss of function, numbness, and poor fracture healing.

Pediatric hand surgery is used to treat trigger finger, lumps/masses, syndactyly (conjoined fingers), and polydactyly (extra fingers).

We also use pediatric hand surgery for common pediatric hand conditions such as finger nail infections or abnormal nail growth, fractures, lacerations, tendon injuries, nerve/artery damage, and amputations.
