Following accidents, illness or hospitalization children can find it difficult to return to the same activities they were doing previously because there muscles are weak.

  • Weakness
  • Decreased endurance

Your physician may refer you to a Physical Therapist to help your child regain strength. At the Physical Therapy evaluation the therapist will review your child’s medical history, his or her current condition and your concerns.  The therapist will do an examination of your child that may include assessment of conditioning, muscle strength, functional mobility, coordination, as well as a gross motor assessment.

May include graduated conditioning, strengthening, and coordination exercises.
