Intermountain Healtchare provides for a variety of wellness and prevention programs in efforts to meet the needs of our communities. Here are some examples of Intermountain wellness services:

HEALTH, WELLNESS & PREVENTION

Intermountain website. Intermountain's website has something for everyone, including general health information for visitors, access to Care Process Models and Patient Education Modules for clinicians, and preventive care service information and interactive links for SelectHealth members.
- Preventive Health Online Center – patient education materials on prevention
- Intermountain KidsCare Online – symptom checker & decision tree for treating children
- InstaCare Online – adult symptom checker & recommended treatments
- Health, Symptoms & Diseases – access to health and prevention information, as well as patient education materials
Preventive Care Guidelines. These guidelines are prepared for Intermountain physicians to help them care for patients.
- Preventive Care Clinical Program
Smoking Cessation Program. This program is available to SelectHealth members to assist them in quitting smoking.
Immunization Program. This program is available to SelectHealth members, patients and employees.
Health education classes. Intermountain instructors teach a variety of health-related classes at hospitals and schools.
Consumer information centers. Intermountian hospitals distribute to the public more than one million pieces of health literature per year.
Reminder letters. SelectHealth members are reminded to use preventive benefits such as immunizations and mammograms.
Healthy Community Partnerships. Intermountain hospitals and clinics throughout the Intermountain region are teaming up with other local organizations to improve health, wellness, and prevention in their communities.
