Clinic/Staff Information
Our lymphedema therapists are occupational therapists with advanced training in lymphedema therapy. They are nationally certified through the Lymphology Association of North America, a recognized national leader in lymphatic research.

Lymphedema Treatment
The lymphedema management program is designed to help individuals manage lymphedema through:
  • Re-establishing adequate lymph flow, stimulate the immune system function and reduce fibrotic tissue.
  • Help prevent potential risk for future infections.
  • Prevent re-accumulation of lymph in the affected body part.
  • Train/educate individuals in a home program for the self-management of lymphedema.
  • Provide community access to education and support resources.

Our therapists are trained in complete decongestive therapy. This includes utilizing manual lymph drainage, short-stretch compression bandaging (when required), decongestive exercises, skin care and fitting for the appropriate compression arm sleeve/stocking when appropriate.

Focus On Healing Classes
Our therapists have been certified to teach the Lebed Method, Focus On Healing classes to help breast cancer survivors regain full range of motion after breast surgery. The classes provide a supportive, safe environment for women to exercise. This therapeutic program also assists with regaining balance, reduces lymphedema, promotes positive self-image, decreases fatigue, fosters empowerment and reduces depression.
