Rehabilitation Services Career Path
Job Description
Rehabilitation therapists improve or restore sick, injured or disabled patients, by therapeutic measures and reeducation, to participation in the activities of a normal life.
- Audiologist: works with patients who have hearing, balance, and related ear problems.
- Speech Therapist: assesses and treats those with swallowing, speech, language, voice and fluency disorders.
- Occupational Therapist: help patients improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments.
- Occupational Therapist Assistant: work under the direction of occupational therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients.
- Physical Therapist: provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease.
- Physical Therapist Assistant: performs components of physical therapy procedures and related tasks selected by a supervising physical therapist.

Education
Occupational & Physical Therapist Assistant requires an Associates Degree.
Audiologist requires a Masters Degree with a Doctorate Degree preferred.

Occupational Therapist requires a Bachelors or Masters Degree with a Doctorate Degree preferred.
Physical Therapist requires a Bachelors or Masters Degree with a Doctorate Degree preferred.
