Certified Nurse Assistant/Patient Care Technician

The Certified Nurse Assistant/Patient Care Technician (CNA/PCT) position may be just what you are looking for.

Description

People working in these positions are part of a healing team who combine their skills and education in supporting the care of a patient. The goal is to provide comfort and to help the healing process.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the CNA/PCT is responsible for monitoring vital signs, supporting the patient's activities of daily living and providing support that ensures the comfort of the patient.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have a Utah State Nurse Assistant Certification. Training for this Certification is provided by many different learning institutions and takes from 1 to 3 months to complete. You must also have current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) for a healthcare provider and be capable of routinely pushing or lifting 50 pounds or more. Excellent communication skills are also essential.

The entry level salary for the CNA/PCT is $9.67/hour



Distribution Clerk

How does a Distribution Clerk contribute to a quality and caring patient care environment? By ensuring that our staff have the supplies needed to treat, comfort and heal a patient.

Our Materials Management department is responsible for receiving supplies, tracking inventory and distributing supplies to each and every department. If you want to help make a difference in the lives of others and if you like to work with inventories and tracking devices, the Distribution Clerk position may be right for you.

Description

As a Distribution Clerk, you will be responsible to receive items into our inventory, stack and store items and distribute the supplies as needed throughout the hospital or other facilities. You will learn to utilize different inventory procedures to ensure the efficient processing of materials. A variety of full and part time shifts are utilized and may work well with a school schedule. Rotating weekends and holiday coverage is usually required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have good communication and writing skills. The ideal candidate has great organizational skills, is detail oriented and is able to frequently do heavy lifting. Having good basic math skills and a working knowledge of package and warehouse units and measurements is preferred.

The entry level salary for a Distribution Clerk is $10.47/Hour.
