Dixie Regional Medical Center

Visitors can play a positive role in patient recovery and family members and friends are welcome to visit. However, patient care is our primary concern at Dixie Regional Medical Center. In order to enhance the quality of care we ask that guests, other than immediate family members, keep their visits brief.

General guidelines for visitors:

  • General visiting hours are open, except for the ICU and nursery.
  • ICU visiting hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (with shift change restrictions from 5-7 p.m.) and visits are restricted to immediate family members only.
  • Ask the Maternity Nursing Team about our family-friendly open visiting guidelines.
  • Nursery: Requests to open the curtains to the nursery window may be directed to associates at the Women's Center nursing station at anytime. Please understand that there are times these requests may not be honored because of patient/privacy needs.
  • Small children should be closely supervised and never left unattended.
  • Maintain a peaceful and quiet environment throughout the hospital.
  • Since some patients may be on special diets, visitors should not bring food to the patients without the approval of the patient's caregiver.
  • Visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately and must wear shirts and shoes.
  • No more than two visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time without special permission from the patient's caregiver.
  • Well visitors please. People with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases should not visit. During RSV season, children under age 12 may be restricted from the hospital.
  • Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or caregiver needs to see the patients.
  • For your protection, all public entrances of the hospital are locked from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. During those hours, should guests need to visit the hospital, they should enter through the Emergency entrance on the north side of the hospital.
  • Patients may request to limit visitation. The hospital staff will honor patient requests.
