Marriage & Relationships

Portait of family The past thirty years of marital research has shown overwhelming evidence that a healthy marriage can provide several important benefit to spouses. These benefits include a decreased chance of suffering from depression and anxiety, living longer and healthier, and increased wealth.

Believe it or not, marital researchers claim that typically there are about the same number of differences and/or issues in every marriage, whether the marriage is good or bad. Successful couples tend to be the ones that have learned how to discuss and embrace their differences in ways that actually strengthen their relationship and improve intimacy. Successful couples also have the tendency to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the long-term commitment that marriage requires. A healthy marriage does not just happen by luck. It takes a lot of knowledge, skill, and determination.
