When people think of heart disease, people usually think of coronary artery disease (narrowing of the arteries leading to the heart), but heart disease is just one type of cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular disease includes a number of conditions affecting the structures or function of the heart and blood vessels.
The following symptoms may indicate a sign of cardiovascular disease
Heart disease refers to problems affecting the heart. Heart disease can affect your coronary arteries, heart valves, heart rate and rhythm, and/or heart muscle.
Vascular disease refers to problems affecting blood vessels. Vascular disease is often a narrowing of vessels that carry blood to the legs, arms, stomach or kidneys.
