1. Do I need a referral from my doctor to receive service from Intermountain Home Medical Equipment?
It is dependant on the equipment needed, but in most cases yes. This allows us to provide the exact equipment needed and allows, where applicable, to bill the insurance for the service.

2. Do I have to pick up my medical equipment or can it be delivered to me?
We always deliver equipment, and educate on its use in the home, if the patient desires.

3. Do I have to have Intermountain insurance to receive service from Intermountain Home Medical Equipment?
No, Intermountain Home Care contracts with many different insurances, and if we are not a provider can direct you to someone who is.

4. I am a Medicare/ Medicaid recipient. Does Intermountain Home Medical Equipment work with these providers?
Absolutely, we have great relationships with Medicaid and Medicare.

5. As a Medicare/ Medicaid recipient, what are my eligibility requirements to receive services from Intermountain Home Medical Equipment?
The requirements for eligibility are equipment or supply specific. Contact our local office and they will help you work through those requirements.

6. What types of medical equipment do you provide?
We are a full service DME provider. We supply oxygen (liquid and gas), CPAP, BIPAP, ventilators, non-invasive ventilators, nebulizers, wheelchairs (custom and standard), walkers, crutches, hospital beds, commodes, and a full line of rehab products. We are continually adding equipment and supplies, please call your local office with any questions.

7. I need respiratory services, does Intermountain Home Medical Equipment provide these?
Intermountain Home Medical Equipment does not provide clinical respiratory services, but Intermountain Home Care does. Contact your local office with any questions

8. How can I determine if Intermountain Home Medical Equipment will provide service in my area?
We provide service within a 50 mile radius of our 21 hospitals. Contact your local office with any questions.

9. How can I find out more information about Intermountain Home Medical Equipment?
Contact your local office to speak to a representative or to request information. We look forward to serving you.

10. I need new medical equipment or need to reorder supplies, what do I do?
Contact your local office; we will be glad to help.

11. I need further instruction in the operation of my medical equipment, how do I get this?
We are available 24-hrs-a-day, seven-days-a-week, 365-days-a-year for emergency service, if you have questions or concerns with operation of equipment please don't hesitate to call.

12.My equipment is not functioning properly, what should I do?
Our on-call personnel are available 24-hrs-a-day. Call and we will help.

13. I have questions about billing for my medical equipment and supplies, who should I contact?
Contact your local store and they will have they appropriate billing representative contact you.

14. Why does Intermountain Home Medical Equipment no longer offer diabetic supplies?
We, at Intermountain Homecare, are devoted to serving our patients to the best of our abilities. We were not able to provide diabetic service to our high standards and established relationships with other providers to do this. Please contact your local Intermountain Home Medical department for the names of these providers.

15. I've been renting my equipment for quite some time now; can I simply buy it outright?
Some insurances provide the purchase option to their recipients, others do not. We follow the guidelines of the insurance companies. If you desire to purchase equipment without billing through your insurance company, we can do that with an approved prescription for you doctor.

16. I am done using my medical equipment, what do I do now?
Please call us when your physician discontinues your need for the equipment and we will arrange for pickup.

17. I'm having trouble paying my bills, what can I do?
Contact your local store or billing representative. Intermountain Home Care has many options and payment plans available.
