Intermountain Homecare Hospice

Intermountain Homecare Hospice provides specialized home care service for people living with a life-limiting illness and their family members. Each year, Intermountain Homecare Hospice proudly serves approximately 1000 patients and families, in nineteen counties throughout Utah and southern Idaho, and border communities in Arizona and Nevada. Most Intermountain Homecare hospice patients are cared for at home. Some patients may require or choose to have services provided in a hospital or skilled nursing facility.

Hospice care focuses on living life to its fullest with comfort and dignity, cared for by loved ones with the help and support of the hospice team. Hospice care treats the person, not the disease, addressing the social, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and family, as well as the physical condition.

Intermountain Homecare offers comprehensive palliative treatment; our goal is care, rather than cure. We provide specialized pain and symptom control methods, to help keep the patient alert and comfortable as long as possible. We also provide valuable emotional and spiritual support, caregiver respite, bereavement support and volunteer services.

Hospice services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most commercial insurance plans and HMOs. Intermountain Homecare also relies on charitable donations to assist our hospice patients and their families without adequate insurance coverage.

Intermountain Homecare is a community owned, not-for-profit health care organization. Through generous financial support from individuals, corporations and community foundations, Intermountain Hospice provides vital end-of-life care services to all patients in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
