Transitional Year Residency Program
Curriculum
The academic year consists of thirteen 4-week rotation blocks.
Required Rotations with hospital call
- Internal Medicine - 4 blocks
- Surgery - 2 blocks*
- Shock Trauma ICU - 1 block
- Coronary Care ICU – 1 block
Required Rotations without call
- Emergency Medicine - 1 block
- Ambulatory Clinic - 1 block
Electives - 3 blocks*
Electives are available within the institution in nearly all specialties and subspecialties. There is no competition for scheduling within the institution.
Transitional Residents may design their own elective experiences within the institution or at other institutions subject to approval by the Program Director.
Multiple research elective opportunities exist.
