In 1983 LDS Hospital performed its first kidney transplant. Since that first transplant, and the formal creation of Intermountain transplant program, more than 3,000 patients have received life-saving liver transplants, kidney transplants, or pancreas transplants at our facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As one of the premier organ transplant centers in the Intermountain West, Intermountain Medical Center now performs nearly 200 transplant procedures every year. From social workers to surgeons, from nurses to transplant coordinators, we believe the best care is focused, supportive, and highly coordinated. And that translates into what they do best: saving lives.
