The Intermountain Medical Center Neuro Specialty Rehabilitation Unit, originally located at LDS Hospital, was founded in 1988 to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services and medical management to people with physical and cognitive limitations. We are committed to make a difference in the lives of the patients and families we serve.
Our interdisciplinary team of specialists work together with patients and families to establish goals, select appropriate treatment, and provide the skills and training necessary to help each patient return home.
Our Mission
To provide the best clinical rehabilitation practices at the lowest appropriate cost with the highest caring and concern for patients admitted into Intermountain's Salt Lake Valley hospitals.
Accreditations
The Intermountain Medical Center Neuro Specialty Rehabilitation Unit is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). The accreditations are earned by demonstrating a commitment to maintain and improve the quality of care.
Intermountain Healthcare's nonprofit hospitals and clinics provide quality care to people within our region who have a medical need, regardless of ability to pay. Intermountain's nonprofit hospitals and clinics are operated for the benefit of the community, not to maximize profit or benefit shareholders. As a result, Intermountain is able to provide charity care to qualifying patients, and financial support to independent community clinics serving the homeless and low-income populations.
