We will bill your insurance company, or companies if you have coverage from more than one. After your claims have been paid, or if the insurance company does not reimburse the hospital in a timely manner, the balance of the account becomes your responsibility.

At Intermountain, we believe health care services should be accessible to residents in the communities we serve, regardless of ability to pay. Financial assistance is available for qualifying patients:

Hospital Patient Billing

We will send you monthly statements on the status of your account. Please read these statements carefully and contact Patient Account Services (the business office) if you have any questions (801) 269- 2500

These statements will tell you:

  • Your total hospital charges, payments posted to your account since your last statement, and the balance of your hospital bill.
  • What you need to do to help get your hospital account paid.

Professional Fees

Your surgeon, anesthesiologist, pathologist or radiologist will each bill you separately. If you have any questions regarding your bills from these providers, please contact their offices directly.
