Life Flight

Life Flight Bases

Life Flight has several bases along the Wasatch Front and one in Southern Utah. Helicopters are stationed at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, and in Salt Lake City, providing support for both Intermountain Medical Center and Primary Children's Medical Center. Life Flight's helicopter service areas are defined by an approximately 150-mile radius extending from each of the rotor wing bases.

Life Flight operates three Beechcraft B200 King Air fixed wing aircraft, two based at Salt Lake International Airport and one at the St. George Airport.

A specially designated neonatal critical care ambulance and driver are stationed at Primary Children's Medical Center, in partnership with Gold Cross Ambulance Services, to transport critically ill infants. Primary Children's Life Flight Neonatal team provides specialized nursing care for the ground unit.

We service areas close to home and far away; our Beechcraft B200 King Air fixed wing aircraft can travel nearly 1,000 miles before refueling and we routinely transport patients from Wyoming, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, and every other western state.
