Logan, Utah Community residents are invited to attend a grand opening celebration for the new Women and Newborn Center at Logan Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 500 East 1400 North in Logan. The event is free to the public and includes tours of the new facility, prize drawings, give-aways, health presentations, and a wide variety of screenings and activities for all ages.

"The opening of this beautiful new facility is a highly anticipated event for both the Logan Regional Hospital team of employees and physicians and for our community," said Bob Cash, Logan Regional Hospital administrator. "This is a commitment to Cache Valley to provide quality women and newborn services now and for future generations."

The new Women and Newborn Center is a 100,000-square-foot facility bringing many women and newborn services together in one convenient location. The design provides a healing environment focusing on comfort, privacy, and convenience for patients and families.

The new center includes 12 labor/delivery/recovery suites, an 18-bed newborn intensive care unit, 34 private patient rooms, a 24-bed well-baby nursery, womens digital mammography and other imaging services, lactation consulting services, education classrooms, and Budge Clinic obstetrics & gynecology physician offices.

The community grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. features tours of the new facility, many free health screenings, free health presentations, and other services.

    • Second floor: 12 private labor/delivery/recovery suites, two cesarean section suites, and an 18-bed newborn intensive care unit designed with the latest technology, comfort and privacy for each baby and family, and a centralized monitoring station.
    • Third floor: 34 private patient rooms, each with an extra bed for baby's father to stay overnight, and a 24-bed well-baby nursery.
