Intermountain Hospice of Cache Valley provides specialized home care services for terminally ill individuals and their family members or caregivers. To be eligible for hospital care, an individual must have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less, and a treatment goal of comfort rather than cure.
Hospice care focuses on living life to its fullest with comfort and dignity, cared for by loved ones with the help and support of the hospice team, which includes specialty nurses, social workers, home health aides, chaplain, and trained volunteers. Hospice care includes pain and symptom management, spiritual counseling, respite care, family support, and bereavement follow-up for the family a full year after the patient has passed away. Hospice also offers free grieving support groups for all community residents.
Intermountain Hospice accepts Medicare and most health insurance plans.
