Acceleration Sports Training

Acceleration Sports Training In today's competitive athletic world, athletes need a winning edge - speed, agility, power and strength. Athletes can obtain these skills by training with the exercise specialists at Intermountain Sports Medicine Acceleration, utilizing the Frappier Acceleration Sports Training programs.

Personalized programs are available for athletes of all ages and ability levels: children, teens, and adults.

The Frappier Acceleration Sports Training programs are a systematic series of supervised training protocols, sport-specific exercises, and equipment designed to safely enhance the physical performance of athletes of all ages, interests, and skill levels. These unique protocols were designed to improve overall athletic performance, specifically targeting improvements in acceleration and sprint speed, multi-directional agility and balance, power, quickness, strength, neuromuscular coordination, and endurance. Average results include: 20 percent increase in agility and cutting speed, 50 percent improvement in recovery rates, .20-second improvement in 40-yard sprint times, improvements in vertical jump, increases in hitting velocity by 3 mph.

Acceleration differs from other sport enhancement programs because of our specialized equipment to train athletes including offerings such as: the Generation II Super Treadmill, which can be elevated to 41 degrees and reach speeds of 29 mph; the Plyopress, allowing athletes to correctly and safely jump and press maximal weight to improve strength and power; the Multi-Hip targets vital areas of strength that are commonly overlooked in other programs. Sprint cords, Throwing Cords and Multi-Sport Cords allow the athlete to move through the full range of motion sports-specific actions, while providing resistance, increasing speed, power and flexibility.

Our program works from a biomechanical, neuromuscular, and metabolic foundation where the athlete is trained systematically with multi-dimensionally designed, periodized training protocols that are scientifically and research based. It is designed for integration into an athlete's team/sport training. This is not a substitute for coaching, but a modality that coaches can use to improve their athletes' athletic skills during training season and in the off-season.
