Orem, Utah—A long-time administrative director for Intermountain Healthcare has been named the new administrator of Orem Community Hospital and an operations officer for Intermountain's Utah County region with responsibility for Surgical Services and Rehabilitation Services.

Ron Liston, a resident of Orem, previously served as administrative director with responsibility for Rehabilitation Services in Intermountain's three Utah County hospitals.

"Ron is a seasoned leader who has demonstrated a consistent ability to create high performance teams and get results in patient satisfaction, physician engagement and operational efficiency," said David Clark, vice president and CEO for Intermountain's Utah County region.

Gail McGuill, who previously served as Orem Community Hospital administrator, will continue working for Intermountain's Utah County region as chief nursing officer.

A native of Springville, Liston holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from BYU and a master's of social work from the University of Utah. He and his wife, Lola, are the parents of five children and grandparents to six. Before joining Intermountain in 1988, Liston worked at the State Development Center as an assistant superintendent. He has also served as a surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, the national accrediting body for rehab programs and services.
