Patient Update Reports for Parents
When you are not able to be at the hospital, please feel free to call your child's nurse, day or night, for an update. Families from out-of-town can make special arrangements through Medical Social Work to communicate on a regular basis with the child's nurse. Information will be given to parents only after verifying identity with the special code number assigned to each child at admittance.

Ronald McDonald House
The Ronald McDonald House provides sleeping facilities at a minimal charge for families who have a child at Primary Children's Medical Center. Arrangements can be made through the Parent Resource Center by calling (801) 662-3795. Ronald McDonald House provides a shuttle service three times a day, at 9:00 a.m., 12 noon, and 5:00 p.m., by pre-arrangement, for PCMC families who have rooms there.

Housing
The hospital provides a list of hotels and motels that offer discounts for PCMC families from out-of-town. For assistance with housing, contact The Parent Resource Center at (801) 662-3795 or Admitting at (801) 662-1070.

Recreational Vehicle Parking
Please contact hospital security at (801) 662-1020 for RV parking arrangements.

ATM
An ATM is located by the north lobby in the hallway next to Admitting.

Cafeteria
A cafeteria is located on the first floor, by the north lobby fountain. Hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m.-10 a.m. (Saturdays and Sundays and holidays from 7 a.m.-10 a.m.); 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; 5 p.m.-10 p.m.; 11 p.m.-2 a.m. Call the menu line at ext. 21422 for a recording of the day's menu.

Cashier
The hospital cashier's window is located on the first floor, by the north lobby fountain, down the hallway by Admitting.

Clergy / Spiritual Support
The hospital chaplain is available for spiritual support or other assistance. Members of the clergy may visit as arranged by the patient or family. Contact the Chaplain at (801) 662-3782.

Gift Shop
The Gift Shop, located on the first floor, is operated by volunteers, with all proceeds used for hospital projects.

Medical Library
The Medical Library provides access to the latest medical research and findings. Families are welcome from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Computers, a fax machine and a copy machine are available for the use of patient families.

Meditation Room
Located on the 3rd Floor, the Meditation Room provides a place for quiet contemplation. It is available at all hours.

Pharmacy
For your convenience, there is a pharmacy on the first floor (south end) to fill outpatient prescriptions. A small selection of over-the-counter medicines and grooming items are also available.

Snack Bar
A snack bar is located inside the north main entrance. Soups, deli-style sandwiches, fresh fruit and ice cream are among the offerings. Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
