About Overnight Stays
Our employees and physicians are among the best in their professions each working to help meet your needs and make your hospital stay as comfortable as possible. Knowing what to expect can help you have a better experience.
If you have any questions during your time in our hospital, please ask for assistance from your health care team.
What to Bring for Overnight Stays
Patients will need to provide their own pajamas or wear a hospital gown. You may also wish to bring:
- List of current medications and doses
- Glasses, hearing aids, orthopedic devices
- Toothbrush
- Robe
- Comb and brush
- Slippers
Please label any items you bring. The hospital cannot be responsible for personal items.
For your safety and comfort, please DO NOT bring:
- Personal valuables
- Hair dryers and curling irons
- Electrical appliances
Patient Visiting Hours
We encourage family and friends to visit patients in our hospital. General visiting hours are noon to 8 p.m. New fathers are welcome in maternity anytime. To help patients rest, we recommend that visits be kept short. No more than two to three visitors at a time is preferred. And please, do not bring anyone to visit who is ill.
Telephone Use in Your Hospital Room
Local calls can be made from your room or any in-house telephone. Dial 9 for an outside line, listen for the second dial tone, then dial the number you desire. Local calls are free.
- To dial a hospital extension, simply dial the four-digit number.
- To reach the hospital operator, dial 0.
You may make long distance calls using a variety of carriers:
- To place collect, third-party billing, or credit card calls, dial 9 + 0 + area code + the number, then listen for further instructions.
For any additional assistance in placing a telephone call, dial 0 for the hospital operator.
Please don't use cellular phones or two-way radios inside patient rooms or in rooms with patient monitoring equipment. Cell phone use is permitted in hospital common areas.
Smoking Policy
Our hospital is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is not permitted on Intermountain managed or maintained property, based on our commitment to the prevention of illness and restoration of health, and to protect the health and safety of our patients.
If you smoke, your physician can prescribe nicotine skin patches or nicotine gum to help reduce your craving for cigarettes.
