Outpatient Services

A team of specialists, led by a physical therapist, offer specialized orthopedic rehabilitation. The team may also include a physical therapy assistant, certified athletic trainer, exercise physiologist, aquatic therapist and a physical therapy aide.

Physical therapy care is provided and modified to meet the individual needs of each patient. In addition to general orthopedic and sports therapy, TOSH also offers several outpatient specialty programs:

Total joint replacement - This program is patient specific and designed to improve continuing care from pre-op to full recovery following joint replacement surgery.
Hand therapy - Specially trained physical and occupational therapists provide hand care, therapy, custom-made splints and return-to-work functional training.
TOSH Training Room - Designed and created to meet the increasing demands of immediate care and education regarding athletic related injuries. Coaches can also access TOSH's Training Room on issues related to equipment, training, conditioning, and dealing with the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries.
Computerized balance assessment.
Computerized strength training and testing.
Orthotic prescription and fabrication - Complete biomechanical foot evaluation and gait analysis to develop custom-made, patient-specific orthotics.
KT testing - Specialized diagnostic instruments are used to test knee ligaments for strength and stability.
Sport-specific training - Personalized performance training and testing of recreational and competitive athletes by one of our exercise physiologists is available.
