Dr. Rich joined Intermountain Healthcare in July 2005 as the Sports Medicine Fellowship Director. Dr. Rich is a 1984 graduate of Brigham Young University and completed medical school at University of Washington in 1988. After finishing a family practice residency in Phoenix, Arizona and a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Michigan State University, he returned to Phoenix in private practice at University Sports Medicine. He had the honor of being the team physician for Arizona State University, the Arizona Diamondbacks and several high schools. He has been active in the United States Olympic Sports Medicine program since 1994 serving as a team physician for the U.S. Paralympic Games in Nagano, Japan in 1998, the U.S. Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia in 2000 and the Head Team Physician for the U.S. Paralympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2002. Dr. Rich and his wife Lori have four children Katie, K.C., Kristy, and Cougar. He is currently an associate team physician for Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University, and the head physician for the Utah Flash.
Melissa McLane, DO - Associate Director

Dr. McLane did her medical schooling at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, after which she completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She completed a fellowship with the Utah Valley Sports Medicine Fellowship in 2003. Currently, she is the head team physician for Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University Extramurals.
Mitchell Pratte, MD - Part-time Faculty

Residency: Utah Valley Family Medicine
Fellowship: Utah Valley Sports Medicine
Dr. Pratte did his medical training at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He completed his residency at the Utah Valley Family Medicine Residency Program, after which he became the first fellow to graduate from the Sports Medicine Fellowship in 2000. He currently practices at the Intermountain North Orem Clinic and is the head team physician for Brigham Young University. He also serves as a team doctor for the Orem Owlz baseball team.
