Provo, UtahPhysical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician, Kirk Leininger, MD, has joined Intermountain Medical Group and will continue to office at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where he has been in practice for four years. He will also continue a weekly clinic at American Fork Hospital.

Dr. Leininger graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine and completed a residency in rehabilitation medicine at the University of Wisconsin. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

"We are delighted with Dr. Leininger's decision to join our group. In his four years in Provo, he has gained the confidence of his peers on the hospital medical staff. He brings a great strength to our group with his specialty in physical medicine and rehab," said Dan Tovey, medical director for the Medical Group in Utah County.

Dr. Leininger specializes in non-surgical treatment of patients with back and neck pain, as well as other musculoskeletal injuries. He also treats patients with stroke, brain injury and spinal cord injury, including complications from those problems. He performs nerve conduction tests and EMGs and does Botox injections for muscle spasticity (not cosmetic reasons).

His office number is 357-8818 and he accepts most insurances.

Dr. Leininger and his wife, Marianne, and two children reside in Highland. He enjoys skiing, biking, running and cooking. His son is deaf, so he and his family use American Sign Language at home.
