Did you know that diabetes affects an estimated 21 million people in the United States and another six million don't even know they have it?

It is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, and it is a leading cause of adult blindness, lower-limb amputation, kidney disease and nerve damage in the nation. And most people, when diagnosed with diabetes, never receive education about how to manage this costly and debilitating disease.

Come and learn what you can do to improve your health and quality of life. For more information about our classes, programs and events, call:

Bring your walking shoes and join us for our walk every month, to improve three aspects of health: Diabetes, Obesity & Cardiovascular (DOC) health. Our DOC Walk is usually held on the second Saturday of each month.

Regular walking or similar activity is vital to maintaining glucose control, preventing weight gain, and reducing risk for cardiovascular disease. Meet other people who walk your speed (slow or fast), make new friends, find a walking partner, enjoy nature and the outdoors.
