Riverton, UT – Intermountain Riverton Hospital will host a series of free community health seminars in 2012. You’ll have a chance to hear from experts about current health topics along with Q & A sessions where you’ll get answers to all the questions you’ve been meaning to ask.
Our first seminar on February 28 will ask, “Are you at risk for heart disease?” Cardiologist, Rex Outtrim, MD will address hypertension and high cholesterol. According to Dr. Outtrim, “Taking measures to strengthen your heart and prevent heart disease is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. Eating the proper foods, exercising, and getting regular checkups are all very important to the health of your heart.” Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, and the month of February is dedicated to raising awareness about the disease.
