Continuing the Jimenez's Journey

La'Mont and Carter love to explore and learn new things, but these curious brothers weren’t likely to pick up a book and read outside of a classroom. This changed when their pediatrician, Dr. Neal Davis, introduced a variety of books for them to take home after each check-up visit.

Now, La'Mont and Carter are bonding through the learning and adventures they both find in exploring books, and their reading levels in school have noticeably improved.

Intermountain Healthcare and Dr. Davis value a comprehensive approach to health and well-being in our communities. This involves moving upstream in every person’s health journey with initiatives like the Reach Out and Read program and book donations to at-risk children that promote childhood literacy to set kids up for success and good overall health into adulthood. At Intermountain Healthcare, care is more than treating the sick. It’s about keeping people like La'Mont and Carter healthy throughout each of their lives.

To us, "health" is a little word with a much bigger meaning.
