Green Smoothie Recipe

In honor of St Patrick's Day, we found a Green Smoothie Recipe from LDS Hospital's Executive Chef Josh Taylor and wanted to share. It's a simple, refreshing way to get lots of nutrients and would make a delicious breakfast to get your day off to a healthy start. 



1 cup fresh kale, chopped

1 cup baby spinach, chopped

8oz fresh strawberries

1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced

1/2 cup orange juice

1 TBSP fresh mint

1/2 TBSP fresh basil, chopped

1 banana

1 cup ice

Place all the ingredients into a blender (and be sure to put the lid on before you hit START), then blend on high until smooth and there are no chunks left. Drink.
