Life Flight Opens New Maternal Transport Service

Intermountain Life Flight has a new high-risk OB service designed to help us serve pregnant patients throughout the Intermountain West who need to be transported to higher-acuity hospitals. The service complements Life Flight’s neonatal team; in fact sometimes members of both teams will fly together to save high-risk moms and babies.

As springtime approaches, so does allergy season. Many pregnant women are faced with this common problem, yet are uncertain about what they can do to minimize their symptoms while keeping their unborn baby safe. Allergies can be worse in pregnancy; as it is, up to one-third of women notice significant swelling of the nasal passages due to pregnancy alone. This can make allergies even more of a challenge to overcome.
