I thought it would be nice to share one of those recipes with everyone, because healthy eating doesn't mean tasteless food. Getting a solid network of supports to help you along is a proven method to achieving success. At the start of the 2013 My Heart Challenge, our 15 contestants were asked to identify who their biggest supporters are who will help them along the path.​​​

Walking is a heart-healthy activity

Getting out of your office for even a few minutes to go walking is a great way to get your heart pumping. Principal John Erlacher, Newman Elementary School, has decided to go walking with his students just before lunch every school day. It gets him, and his students, making active and healthy choices on a daily basis, and helps everyone get more heart healthy. One day he brought his trainer with him so the students could see what their principal was doing to try and win the 100-day challenge.
