It's not easy to make lifestyle changes in an effort to become more heart healthy. One of the 15 firefighters competing in the 2014 My Heart Challenge has gone 'Cold Turkey' on sodas and energy drinks, and nearly three weeks into the challenge is doing great. It’s likely we’ve heard it said, ‘Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.’  I’m often asked, ‘is this really the case’?  I believe it is difficult to say if one meal is more important than another, because all meals are important and I would not recommend skipping any meals throughout the day.  However, I will make a case that breakfast is very important.
