Casey Davis, BS, earned her undergraduate degree in Family Studies from Weber State University with a minor in Psychology. She has worked for McKay Dee Hospital for the last eight years, six of which have been as a Child Life Specialist. She currently holds the team-lead position at McKay, and has also recently become an adjunct professor at Weber State University teaching the course “Children and Families within the Medical Setting,” where she is trying increase opportunities for student’s to become Certified Child Life Specialists. Casey also is heavily involved in suicide prevention efforts, in which she has been a guest speaker in prevention programs for both students, and educators at district, state, and national levels. Casey maintains her suicide prevention certification as a “Gatekeeper Trainer” for QPR, which is a nationally recognized suicide prevention curriculum.
