Asian Slaw
1 cup shredded purple cabbage
1/4 cup red bell pepper, sliced
1/4 cup green bell pepper, sliced
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/8 teaspoon pureed ginger
1. Combine the vegetables together in a bowl.
2. In a separate bowl combine the oil, vinegar, soy sauce, and ginger and whisk together.
3. Pour the dressing into the slaw mixture and toss to combine.
Lettuce Wraps
1 pound ground turkey
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1.5 teaspoons pureed ginger
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
2.5 teaspoons Thai sweet chili sauce
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
1/2 tablespoon lime juice
1.5 teaspoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon chopped basil
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
8 leaves butter lettuce
1. Heat the sesame oil on medium high heat in a large sauté pan. Break apart the turkey with a spoon and allow to cook until the turkey is cooked through.
2. Add in the ginger, soy, fish sauce, chili sauce, garlic, lime juice and vinegar and allow to cook until the ingredients have cooked into the turkey.
3. When finished take off the heat and stir in the fresh herbs.
4. Place 1/2 cup of the turkey mixture into the butter lettuce and top with 1/4 cup of the slaw.
