New USDA Dietary Guidelines: Understanding a Complex Puzzle

This month the USDA released the Dietary Guidelines for Americans eighth edition. What this means is that the Department of Agriculture has determined what they believe to be the best path for a healthy diet. Dietary Guidelines are updated in 5-year-intervals, meaning the next set of guidelines will not be released until the year 2020.
