Hospital food. Maybe nutritious, but not generally thought of as fine dining.  That is, unless you have had a LiVe Well Healthy Plate from an Intermountain Healthcare hospital.

Have you heard of placental encapsulation?  The placenta (also known as afterbirth) is an organ that connects the developing fetus to the uterine wall to allow nutrient uptake, provide thermo-regulation to the fetus, waste elimination, and gas exchange via the mother's blood supply, fight against internal infection and produce hormones to support pregnancy. The placenta provides oxygen and nutrients to growing babies and removes waste products from the baby's blood. The placenta attaches to the wall of the uterus, and the baby's umbilical cord develops from the placenta. The umbilical cord is what connects the mother and the baby.

I think I was a bear in another life. Every winter I tell myself I’m not going to let the short days and cold weather get to me. But when the days get short, my energy level drops and I start eating like I’m preparing for hibernation. Mentally, I know what I need to do. Emotionally and physically, though, I fall into the same trap every year. I gain weight. I don’t exercise. I feel lethargic. I’m not a good example of living the healthiest life possible.
