Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S., with more than a million new cases of skin cancer occurring each year, resulting in more than 10,000 deaths primarily from melanoma. And in Utah, your risk of getting skin cancer is even greater – the incident rate of melanoma of the skin (the most dangerous form of skin cancer) is the highest in the country. The rates of dying from melanoma (the total number of deaths compared to population) is also highest in Utah*.
