Attend this free joint replacement class at Utah Valley Clinic/Sorenson Tower on the campus of Utah Valley Hospital to learn how to effectively plan for your upcoming joint replacement surgery, what to expect while you are in the hospital, and how to make your recovery at home as smooth as possible.
The Childbirth Preparation class is taught by a Registered Nurse. In this class you'll learn about pregnancy changes, pain management options, breathing and relaxation, labor and delivery, infant feeding options, postpartum adjustments and newborn care.
Class topics include physical and emotional changes of pregnancy, warning signs, nutrition, labor signs, and the process of labor.

The prenatal seminar is highly recommended for all moms to help them and their partners feel prepared for childbirth.
The LDS Hospital Total Joint Replacement class for Knee and Hip Replacement patients is conducted every Thursday from 4-5 p.m. on W7, the Joint Center. All patients scheduled for joint replacement surgery, as well the "health coach" who will help the patient at home following surgery, are encouraged to attend.
